Pure Trade creates Guerlain KissKiss charms
Packaging specialist Pure Trade has created two collectible lipstick-holder bag charms for Guerlain's KissKiss line.
Packaging firm Pure Trade has unveiled two new lipstick-holder accessories for Guerlain's KissKiss line. According to a report from Premium Beauty News, the Paris-based specialist designed the items as collectible bag charms crafted from recycled zamak and RPET.
These creations aim to transform the traditional gift-with-purchase into a durable object meant to be kept forever. The project signals a shift in how promotional items are conceived within the luxury beauty sector.
Two Distinct Designs
Pure Trade developed two separate accessories for Guerlain. One is intended for influencer gifting, while the other will serve as a gift-with-purchase for customers.
The designs bring Guerlain's signature bee motif directly into the accessory. This demonstrates that a promotional gift can embody the Maison's brand codes as completely as its primary packaging.
The Influencer Piece
The first creation is an openwork golden lipstick case accompanied by four charms. The leading charm features Guerlain's signature lips motif.
All charms are made from recycled zamak. They are gold-electroplated and finished with epoxy colour. The connecting rings are assembled by hand. Pure Trade designed this piece specifically to travel from a person's hand to their handbag and onto social media feeds.
The Customer Gift
The second accessory is a slim rectangular lipstick pouch with a supple red finish. For this item, Pure Trade chose an RPET material engineered to mimic the look and feel of PU and suede both inside and out.
This choice aligns with Guerlain's established tactile codes. The pouch is completed with several decorative elements. These include a debossed Guerlain bee, gilded hardware, a zamak carabiner, and two enamelled charms. The charms are a miniature lipstick and the KissKiss lips symbol.
Material Innovation
A key focus for Pure Trade was the use of innovative and sustainable materials. The company replaced conventional coated leatherette with its engineered RPET fabric for the pouch.
For the metal components, the firm use recycled zamak. This material choice applies to both the charms and the carabiner clasp. The report states these material selections were made to create a high-quality, lasting object.
The project redefines the potential of a gift-with-purchase. It moves the concept from a disposable extra to a designed accessory intended for long-term use. The finished pieces serve as functional lipstick holders that also operate as decorative bag charms.
