FaiveleyTech Provides Yom Beauty Packaging

FaiveleyTech supplied a bio-based Sulapac Solid lid and spatula for Yom Beauty’s new LipSafe-certified lip care line. The French plastic-packaging unit completed the design and production in a short timeframe, ensuring the products are micro-plastic free and safe for accidental ingestion.

Custom Bio-Based Lid and Spatula

The launch features a lid and spatula crafted from Sulapac Solid, a bio-based polymer blended with clay minerals. The material is dye-free and offers a pearlescent finish that aligns with luxury aesthetics. Its ceramic-like feel and PFAS-free composition make it suitable for beauty products that must avoid microplastics.

Industrial and Technical Challenges

FaiveleyTech’s teams in Orgelet, France tackled the closure and application system, creating a mono-material lid that requires no adhesives, PE or PP layers. The design was inspired by Irish wishing stones, giving the jar an organic shape that fits comfortably in the hand. The project was completed quickly without compromising quality, showcasing the company’s ability to adapt with efficiency and rigor. Commitment to Micro-Plastic Freedom

Yom Beauty’s range is certified LipSafe, meaning all ingredients are cosmetic- and food-grade and free of microplastics. The new lid’s construction ensures that no micro-plastic shedding occurs, maintaining the brand’s integrity. Laura DiGirolamo, co-founder of Yom, said, “Every part of this product had to meet the same standard, inside the jar and out. FaiveleyTech understood immediately why a lid that sheds microplastics would undo everything we were trying to build. The Pebble is proof that you can hold luxury and integrity in the same hand.”

The first time FaiveleyTech has introduced Sulapac Solid to the beauty market, the company also developed a seal from the same material. The lid’s mono-material structure supports future recycling streams for bio-based materials as they develop. The collaboration demonstrates how packaging can meet both aesthetic and environmental standards for premium beauty products.
