The new 'Libre Santal Couture' perfume is a floral woody Eau de Parfum, marking the first time the 'Libre' line has featured this type of scent. According to perfumers Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm, the challenge in creating 'Libre Santal Couture' was to turn a traditionally masculine woody facet into a feminine signature. They achieved this by enveloping the sensual facets of sandalwood with the feminine heart of the 'Libre' fragrance. The result is a scent that is intensely velvety, sensual, and addictive. The 'Libre Santal Couture' fragrance features a combination of vibrant French lavender and a sensual orange blossom accord. The orange blossom accord was developed using both Moroccan orange blossom absolute and Headspace technology to capture the scent of orange flowers grown in YSL Beauty's Ourika Community Gardens. The scent is grounded by sustainably sourced New Caledonian sandalwood. Dua Lipa, the global ambassador for YSL Beauty, fronts the new campaign for 'Libre Santal Couture'. The campaign was shot in the South African desert under the direction of Romain Wygas. Lipa embodies the feminine yet sensual nature of the 'Libre' woman in the campaign, which features her own cover of Aretha Franklin's 'Think'. 'Libre Santal Couture' retails for $155 USD and is available for purchase on the brand's website.
